Ferrostaal in Peru

Over 85 years of experience - a solid foundation

We can look back on a long and successful history in Peru. The first branch office of  Ferrostaal in Peru was opened in Lima in 1922: one of the first subsidiaries in South America. Ever since, we have established close ties with the Peruvian industry, private and public institutions. Together with our partners, we have taken on a pioneering role and introduced innovative technologies and products across a wide range of different economic sectors.

1920

Foundation of Ferrostaal N.V. in The Hague as a commercial trading company for steel products.

1922

Establishment of the first Ferrostaal branch office in Lima

1938

Supply and service of 95 MAN Büssing buses for public transportation in Lima

1956

Turnkey contract for the supply and erection of a blast furnace at Siderperu’s steelworks

1964

Turnkey contract for supply and construction of a fertilizer power plant with Uhde, including MAN Turbo syngas compressors and pumps in Cusco. Client: Industrias Cachimayo S.A.

1965

Supply of train car to ENAFER (Empresa Nacional de Ferrocarriles) by Ferrostaal for the Cusco – Macchu Picchu rail line

1969

Turnkey contract for the supply and erection of a second blast furnace at Siderperu’s steelworks
